Leap into Kindergarten

We are looking forward to the upcoming week of Spring Break! The work week was a busy one. On Wednesday, I took a group of 36 students on a field trip to UNC Charlotte. The weather was beautiful and sunny, and the students were so great. After an info session and a tour of campus, we ate lunch in the dining hall before returning to Forbush. It was a full, but fun day.

We have filled the evenings with walks around the neighborhood...

...dance class...
...and a Leap Into Kindergarten Night! Emmy was so excited that she wanted to pose with her last Dolly Parton book "Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!" Boomer and I were able to ride together to pick up both Emmy and Eli from preschool. Then all four Kennedys headed over to the event. The gym was set-up with stations, and each station was a fun activity practicing fine motor skills and letter and number recognition. Emmy also got school supplies and a new bookbag that Aunt Megan picked out for her. Between this event and the registration night in February, I think our girl is ready for kindergarten....I'm just not sure that Mommy and Daddy are!
We definitely have a leftie!
