A Slow Start to November

The first weekend of November had a much-needed slower pace than our previous October weekends. With no binding commitments, we made a spontaneous trip to the Science Center on Saturday and once again renewed our membership for another year. We love our Saturday mornings and summer adventures there, and the membership is still a worthwhile purchase for our family. The Science Center had already begun decorating for the Christmas season, and we posed for a few pictures with the holiday décor. The weekend also included some chores. Boomer did yardwork outside, while I switched out the kids' clothes and purged some other items that they have outgrown. We felt very accomplished, if not tired, on Sunday evening. The extra hour of sleep on Saturday night was nice though! With Daylight Saving Time ending, the days are getting dark almost as soon as I am leaving work, which is a downside to this time of year. But it gives us an excuse to be in our pjs and in bed earlier. The weekend was a nice reset after the craziness of October. Now we are ready for all the fun that is to come in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned for the upcoming birthday festivities!
