We continued with a full line-up of summer activities this past week. On Monday and Tuesday, we spent back-to-back days at the pool. Then on Wednesday, Grammy and Grandpa took all the grandkids to Kaleideum. We spent several hours exploring all the exhibits. The kids especially enjoyed being creative in the MakerSpace and in the theater. From the Kaleideum, Boomer picked me up so that we could head to a double date (and a double header!) at the Dash with our friends Brian and Michelle Moore. While we were at the ballpark, the kids spent the rest of the evening with Grammy and Grandpa at the church's 4th of July picnic. On Thursday, Emmy, Eli, and I went to the Science Center. We had fun walking around the zoo outside first and then cooling off inside at the aquarium, reptiles, and dinosaurs.

4th of July
We just wrapped up a wonderful weekend at the lake for the 4th of July. Along the way to Lake Tillery, we stopped at The Table in Asheboro, which is the same place we stopped last year. It seems we may have a new tradition! I had the Classic breakfast sandwich on a croissant, Boomer got an omelet with several different meats, and the kids shared a cinnamon roll and poptart. When we got to the lake, Emmy and Eli couldn't wait to get into their bathing suits to join their cousins in the water. The seven of them had a blast jumping into the water, battling on the lily pad, and going on a nighttime boat ride to watch the fireworks. It was another fun-filled 4th at the lake!
