The last couple of weeks have been a blur of altered schedules, early mornings, and busy days. Both kiddos have been out of school at different times due to sickness in their classrooms. Luckily they have both stayed healthy, but first Emmy's classroom closed, and then Eli's, so for the past three weeks, only one kid has actually been at school. COVID cases are on the rise again. Once there is an exposure in the classroom, the entire class closes. It feels similar to what we experienced in 2020...and in 2021...and now 2022. I'm beginning to dread seeing the school's name on my caller ID. On the bright side, the closures have allowed for extra one-on-one spoiling at Grammy and Grandpa's. During Emmy's time, she made cookies, played with the dollhouse, got her nails painted and a hair cut, made lots of crafts, and cruised around in the driveway. We've also had a few weeks of basketball practices, although sadly the Saturday games have been cancelled due to snow. On Eli's days out of school, he also got a hair cut, made some crafts, played with 'zoom zooms', and spent one day at home with Daddy. Here's to hoping that the rest of February brings a return to routine!
